Southern Hemisphere astronomy pier for rent

Remote telescope hosting solutions that meet a variety of needs including;
- space situational awareness, scientific research & astro imaging.
Australia's dark skies afford excellent access to the Southern Hemisphere
and enables scientists to "follow the moon" across sites such
as Chile and South Africa for 24/7 observing programs.

Turnkey simplicity, complete control.

Renting one of our domes is often selected by our clients as one of the fastest ways to get their own private remote observatory
up and running.
We have a range of 2, 2.3, 3 and 3.5m domes available, you simply provide the pier and instrument package.

Or, customise  your own solution,  SROF supplies just the space and services (power, internet, auxiliary) for domes up to 5 meters.
If you are unsure about where to source a dome, see our partner page for certified installers.

Maximum flexibility

Space science and research is a rapidly changing field, it's hard to predict what your requirements might be a year from now, let alone 5-10.
When it comes to catering for the unexpected, nothing comes close to a private roll-on/roll-ff observatory.
You simply specify how much space you're likely to need and our team can take care of everything from the design through to organising the build and daily operations - or supply your own design and build team, the choice is yours.

Lower up-front investment

Our shared roll-on/roll-off observatories  cater to the astronomer that needs the complete control of their own instrument train but does not require the privacy, control and cost of a private observatory.
SROF supplies internet connectivity, power and telemetry (weather, roof status, security cameras, all-sky, etc) - you supply the rest. For our International clients, we can also help you source a pier, mount and OTA via our partners for a turnkey solution.
